I'm Luc Polman, the person behind PollyDevelopment and PollyConsultancy. I combine experience in IT management and technical projects with entrepreneurship. Alongside the technology, I consider your processes, users and the goal you want to achieve.
At PollySolutions I developed an algorithm with a team of four programmers to automate building permit applications. As co-owner I was responsible for technical leadership, task allocation and progress. The algorithm was eventually sold to an external party.
That experience taught me how to turn an idea into something useful: keep the scope clear, work together and keep checking whether what you build solves the original problem. I bring that approach to your project.

Built with an eye
for everyday work.
At Welbions I worked as an application specialist on ERP management, user support, technical projects and AI implementation. I saw how systems can make work easier and where users get stuck. This helps me consider management, changes and usability when building a new solution.
At Cloudwise I was the technical bridge between management, support and development. I analysed complex issues, prioritised customer requests and improved handovers to developers. I can investigate a technical question and explain it clearly to the people who need to make a decision.
As a freelance IT consultant at Qhire I also configured a Recruitment Management System. My experience in education, healthcare training and housing associations helps me understand different organisations and workflows.

My background includes IT management, the Functioneel Beheer Specialist VFB qualification and completed Microsoft courses MS-102, MS-4017, PL-900 and PL-200. I have experience with Microsoft 365, Business Central, Google Workspace and information security.
I enjoy working with people outside IT too. My background as a competitive athlete, team captain and youth basketball coach brings discipline, teamwork and coaching experience. Clear agreements, taking responsibility and working towards a shared goal suit me.
